What will you need to make it?

  • 2 cups milk (any kind you like)
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetener of choice (honey, agave, maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric (add more to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • Pinch of black pepper (increases absorption of turmeric)
  • Optional: pinch of ground cloves, cardamom, or nutmeg
 

How do you make it?

  1. Heat milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat until simmering.
  2. Add all of your ingredients.
  3. Heat for another minute until smooth and creamy and spices dissolve.
  4. Serve hot or let it cool to room temperature then refrigerate for up to 3 days.
